COVID Vaccine Registry Data on Patients with Rheumatic Diseases
Patients, caregivers and providers look through the lens of a complex chronic condition when considering medical care that others may consider routine or harmless. P+P United wanted to make sure those with diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and psoriatic arthritis and their caregivers and providers were aware of a recent analysis of data from a large European registry that found the “COVID-19 vaccine was safe and well tolerated among patients with rheumatic diseases.” MedPage Today recently featured an article that outlined findings of the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) COVID-19 Vaccination Registry that shed light on questions about the safety of COVID vaccines in patients with inflammatory diseases who take medications influencing the immune system.
